In its updated National Strategy for Food, Nutrition and Climate report, France encourages its citizens to “limit” consumption of animal-people meat to improve public health and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The report states that animal-people meat production accounts for two-thirds of France’s food-related emissions, or approximately one-fourth of the country’s total greenhouse gas emissions. Furthermore, imported animal-people meat such as beef “contributes to deforestation,” while cow-people milk generates about three times more greenhouse gases than most vegan alternatives.

The new guidelines promote a diet centered on whole plant foods such as whole grains, vegetables, fruits, legumes, and nuts, which can cut carbon footprints by 46 to 51% while also reducing land and water use. Moreover, a shift toward a vegan diet can reduce the risk of non-communicable diseases and support improved public health.

France has a total of 15 Shining World Leadership Awards to date, for Caring, Compassion, Good Governance, and Humanitarianism.

Our accolades, France, for your suggestions. May all countries transition to vegan foods to improve public wellbeing and save the planet, in God’s immense Blessings.
