China’s latest national survey shows that people aged 65 and over now outnumber children under age 15 for the first time, underscoring a deepening demographic decline driven by decades of low birthrates, the legacy of the one-child policy, high childcare costs, economic pressures, and gender norms, as authorities roll out youth-development and childbirth-support initiatives to slow population aging (The Independent)
The World Health Organization [WHO] calls for an immediate ceasefire in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo to contain the Bundibugyo-variant Ebola outbreak, warning that ongoing fighting, mass displacement, attacks on health facilities, and overwhelmed Congolese refugee sites in Uganda are accelerating transmission, as more than 900 suspected cases and over 200 deaths are reported across three provinces and aid groups mobilize additional resources while noting that a quarter of confirmed deaths are children (Vietnam.vn)
Seven common conditions are major causes of vision loss: 1. Age-related macular degeneration 2. Glaucoma 3. Cataracts 4. Diabetic retinopathy 5. Retinal detachment 6. Optic nerve damage and 7. Severe eye injuries or infections Some diseases develop silently for years, while others can trigger sudden blindness without urgent treatment. Warning signs include blurry vision, flashes of light, blind spots, distorted images, severe eye pain, or loss of peripheral vision. Experts say regular eye exams, blood sugar and blood pressure control, quitting smoking, and protecting eyes from UV [ultraviolet] exposure can help prevent permanent vision loss (VnExpress)
A University of Leicester [UK] study links fruit-rich diets to better lung protection against air pollution, especially PM2.5 [particulate matter smaller than 2.5 micrometers]. Analyzing 200,000 participants, researchers find higher fruit intake— especially among women— limits oxidative damage, suggesting antioxidants like vitamin C help shield lungs from fine particles (Báo Tin Tức)
A deadly European tapeworm strain expands into the Pacific Northwest, infecting over one-third of coyote-people in Washington state [US]. The parasite can cause fatal liver cysts in humans and dog-individuals. Consequently, health officials urge strict wildlife-folk surveillance and warn pet caregivers to stop their dog companions from hunting rodent-residents that can become infected by contact with coyote feces (SciTech Daily)
Indonesia’s last glaciers are disappearing rapidly. Researchers found the East Northwall Firn glacier on Puncak Jaya mountain in Central Papua has lost about 95% of its area since 2002, and Oceania’s last tropical glaciers may vanish around 2030. Scientists use drones and GPS [Global Positioning System] to capture data before the ice is gone, warning human-driven climate change continues to accelerate the melt (The Guardian)
A study published in the journal The Lancet Planetary Health finds that rising temperatures and shifting rainfall raised antibiotic-resistance genes in salmonella by about 10% between 1940 and 2023. Researchers analyzed over 480,000 bacterial samples from 139 countries. Overuse and misuse of antibiotics remain the main driver, but scientists warn climate change worsens the threat of antibiotic resistance that is already killing more than a million people yearly (Lao Động)
Human-driven climate change has doubled the pace of global sea level rise since the 1960s, threatening coastlines as oceans absorb record trapped heat. A study published in the journal Science Advances confirms ocean warming and melting ice sheets are pushing the rise to nearly 4 millimeters a year. Scientists warn seas will keep climbing for centuries even if emissions stop (SciTech Daily)
In Nagaland’s Kiphire district [India], the Sangtam Naga community has formally prohibited pangolin-folk hunting through its own Indigenous law, with village councils and customary courts enforcing the ban as conservationists highlight the need for community-led protection where national enforcement is limited (Mongabay)

Enlightening quote of the day: “But seek first His Kingdom and His Righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” – Lord Jesus Christ (vegetarian) Worshipped Enlightened Master. Son of GOD. (Matthew 6:33, Holy Bible)
Previously, in Part 1 of 3 of Gabe Poirot’s near-death experience, Gabe described how a skateboarding accident left him lifeless on the pavement, and his skull was cracked from the top down. He flatlined, was resuscitated, and remained in a non-responsive coma for 18 days. Yet from the moment of the accident, Gabe says he slipped out of his body, was drawn upward by a Light that was not a thing but a person and was brought before Lord Jesus Christ (vegetarian) In His presence, Gabe says Heaven was not simply a place — Heaven was Christ — and the Love he encountered was personal, direct, and waiting for every soul. Now, Gabe describes what Lord Jesus Christ showed him next.
I saw how the timeline in Heaven was actually — it was like the past, the present, and the future, they were wrapped up in one. And it was like a piece of clothing, and He just held time in His hands. He wasn’t limited by time, but He redeemed it all, like the cross. So, my encounter with Jesus, right? Like, I understand the cross differently, because I see now His arms stretched wide. They weren’t just stretched physically. His arms stretched from the east to the west of the entire timeline of eternity, of humanity. He paid the price of all sin.
Gabe was also shown vision-like revelations — moments from scripture brought to life before him. I didn’t talk to Moses or Elisha, but I did see these moments where Moses was at the burning bush. He met the pre-incarnate Christ. And all of Moses’s failures were met with, “I Am.” Why? Because Moses found the end of Himself. And Moses was transformed from a weak, incapacitated guy to a strong man filled with Glory, God’s Glory. And He led the entire nation out of slavery, but He didn’t do it out of His own ability. He led it with the very strength of God. And He saw the pre-incarnate Christ at that bush. When I was with Jesus, I saw that all of the greatest biblical figures, all of them, they didn’t accomplish everything they did because of their own strength, but it was the strength of Christ that weaved it all together. It was so beautiful.
Gabe also saw something that would come to shape his understanding of prayer. I literally saw everyone praying for me from Heaven’s perspective. The prayers were almost more, they seemed more real than even people. So, these prayers were their own structures. I described them as, or like, highways, or structures that join together, and every prayer is gathered by Christ. And Revelation 4:5 talks about these golden bowls that every prayer is gathered by. And I saw that even prayers that aren’t maybe answered on the Earth, it doesn’t mean they weren’t answered. We can still give them to the Father.
Every prayer is gathered, and I saw He literally used those prayers. Like, those prayers were the function that I was sent back to my body on. It was like a vehicle. It just seemed to me like I was transported back on those prayers. Not as if the prayers of people saved me, because really, it was the prayers of the Word of Christ in our mouths though. That’s why prayer is powerful. It’s not just when we pray what we think or what we feel. Prayer is powerful when we pray His Word.
Gabe says he also knew his time on Earth was not finished. There was this thing where like I just kind of knew that my time wasn’t up. And He communicated that to me. “Gabriel, your time’s not up. You must go back. Tell them about My Love, who I really am.” And so, there was just this sense of, I need to go back. My time’s not up.
Gabe woke from his coma on November 12th — 18 days after the accident. His first words were that the calendar was wrong, because, to him, the experience had felt like only two minutes. Against all medical expectations, his memory returned fully — not just of his life before the accident, but of what he had witnessed outside his body. Medical images taken during the coma and again months later show the brain visibly healed. The CBN [Christian Broadcasting Network] medical documentary, filmed in the same emergency room where Gabe was treated, includes direct doctor testimony confirming the resuscitation and the severity of his condition. He says neurologists would not expect a brain like his to have full memory or recall of what happened outside his body.
In Part 3, Gabe explains how the encounter changed him after he came back — correcting what he believed about God’s Blessing, reshaping how he responded to anger, and leaving him with one message he wanted people to hear. From my encounter with Christ, I realized all I needed in life was Jesus. Jesus plus nothing. And I can be blessed even if I don’t have all the things of the Earth. Join us tomorrow for Part 3 of 3 of Gabe Poirot’s near-death experience. (Lila Rose)
