(No. Missing Master means we’re not tired. We just miss Master.) Oh really. (Master’s Blessing makes it not tiring.) I’m just scared of flying. Cigarette smoke, people touching everything, So exhausting! They rummage through your stuff, lift things up, poke around. Just finished washing and ironing everything to bring, and then they dig through and make it dirty again. I have to wash it again when I get back. And even then, the smell doesn’t fully go away.
When you go, they barely check anything. But when I go, they search like crazy. Maybe they’re trying to extract some blessing energy, I don’t know. They’re determined to search thoroughly. One person searches, then another comes to check again. One pokes here, the next pokes there. Oh my, it tickles so much! They already have a machine to scan, what’s the point of all that touching? Tickles like crazy! Can’t take it. Sometimes they stand so close, touching all over, like I’m hiding something inside, illegal stuff or something. But their own bodies smell so much, I can’t stand it. I don’t know what they’ve got inside, but the smell is awful. Huh? (There’s meat…) There’s (animal-people) meat too? (Yes.) Eating (animal-people) meat...
I don’t know who’s harming who anymore. They’re afraid we’re bringing harm to their country, bringing stuff in and all that. But who’s really harming who? We didn’t even want to go there. We only went out of necessity, for the fellow practitioners. Otherwise, who wants to go to those countries and do anything? When I go to the UK or Germany, I just stay there, and no one bothers me. No need to keep moving around and dealing with complications. In all of Europe, I can live anywhere permanently, no problem. Why would I need to go from one country to another? Even if the country is cold, I don’t bother going outside. I stay indoors with heating all day. The house is big, walking from one room to another is enough to get some movement in. There’s no need to go out and struggle like that.
It’s not like anyone’s dying to get into their country, but they act like it’s so precious. Their country is full of karma, yet they cling to it so tightly. Afraid someone will come in and take their karma away. So sad. Karmic burden, nobody wants to buy it! If people come in and help lessen it a bit, that’s a blessing, right? Yet they insist on clinging to it. Sad! Let the Aulacese (Vietnamese) people come, let them practice and gain merit – but no, they deport them, and that just makes them poorer still. God sent them Aulacese (Vietnamese) people to give them a chance to earn merit, to practice giving, to gain blessings, so the country could become wealthier in the future. But they turned them away. So in the future, they’ll become even poorer. And without the chance to give, they’ll become completely destitute. So sad, and no one understands. Even if you try to explain, they don’t get it. And they won’t let you meet them to explain anyway. That’s the sad part.
Sometimes I get to meet with a few presidents, but they find excuses to step away quickly. Just as we start talking, they say “hallo,” and then “goodbye” right after. Didn’t even get a chance to say anything. Sad! If only they gave a little time to hear some spiritual teachings, maybe they’d awaken a little. But no, they just say “hallo,” and that’s it. “I’m sorry, busy. Goodbye.” Busy. The things they should be busy with, they ignore. Instead, they run around with nonsense, bribes, cover-ups, scandals. So they stay busy all day, but what kind of busy is that? Being a president is easy, anyone can do it. Ask Hồng to do it, she could do it right away. Being president is a piece of cake, it’s nothing, right? Being a spiritual Master is much harder. Being president? That’s easy.
…fed up. Don’t eat. I go on strike. Writing poems too now? Earlier you were already singing, and now poetry too? (Master, it’s for You. I saved it just for You, not like that.) Oh? Just for me? Where is it? What’s so special? (Right now?) (One minute.) One minute. Half a minute. (OK.) Run. I want to see if she tells the truth.
I cannot eat it. And then they say, “Oh, Master, please eat more. Oh, please get fat.” How can I get fat on this kind of food that they gave me this morning? Oh, no. Is there any leftover from the food I ate? It probably has been brought here. Yes or no? (There’s still some.) Bring all of it to show everyone. Otherwise, you think I’m telling lies. I think there’s leftovers still, then you’ll know what it is inside. Tell her to be quick. She might hide something or put some more things on it. Oh, good, huh? Too hot or not? (No, I want to eat some noodles.) Oh. No, here. This is different. (Yes, I have this.) This suits you better because you’re skinny. (Yes.) Hot noodles. Fat noodles for big people. Suits your proportion. Oh. That’s why she looked so initiated this morning. We didn’t throw her out. Everybody else had fell down, and she was there meditating like a professional. Last night, she was lovely. (She was.) She was lovely. (Yes.) His son is now… (About a year.) Yeah.
Then why didn’t you follow that, and see me from here? (Well, as I was telling You before that I feel a little... a need to be around a woman who’s a Master.) Oh, yeah? So, you have discrimination. Women, men are the same. As long as They are enlightened, otherwise there’s no need to look for a man or woman Master. (Yes.) As long as They are truly enlightened, that is good for us; man or woman, it’s the same. I have seen Him when He was alive in India. (Oh.) I wasn’t initiated by Him though. I was already initiated at that time. (Oh.)
So, I knew a friend, who is His fan, very fond of Him, who was initiated by Kirpal Singh, American. So, then he took me to His house on His birthday, Master Darshan Singh’s birthday. That’s how I knew Him; and He was so loving. I was very humble and very shy and just stood there around the corner. But He noticed us, and He said, “Oh, my daughter, come up, come up. Do You have any questions?” I said, “No.” Normally people would jump at the opportunity and come up and... But I couldn’t think of any question to ask Him. Just came to see Him, that’s all, out of respect because of my friend. (Yes.) And because we lived very near. There’s another ashram, which I was staying in at that time for some time. So, very near, so he took us by walking for ten minutes or something, twenty minutes. Same in Delhi.
I went to see Him and He always urged me to come up to talk to Him. And I said to Him already, “I have no question.” And I didn’t want to disturb Him. But He kept dragging, kind of dragging me up. And and I kept saying, “No, I don’t have any questions and I’m just happy to be here. And it’s alright.” But He couldn’t keep Himself from me, so He told one of the go-between girls… He used to have one go-between girl for five years or something. And He told her to go and fetch me. From all His busy, busy, busy days, and His birthday and a lot of people came. And even then, He noticed that there was a corner, there was a little girl standing there. And He just had to have me up. He just had to have me upstairs and talking to Him.
And so, He told us about His poetry and His television appearance and all that. And that’s all. That’s how I remember Him because He was very loving, very loving. It was the first time, first time I saw Him. And He seemed to notice that somebody was there from all of the thousands of Indians and all the disciples around the world. There were a lot of people there. And you know, I’m very small, and when I stood around the crowd, nobody saw me. But He saw me. He dug me out. And I already said, “No, I don’t want anything.” And He fetched His attendant to draw me upstairs, just to talk to Him. I thought I was very fortunate. (Yes.) That’s all.
I saw a few Masters in India, just by chance. Even the Dalai Lama also. (Oh!) Yeah. And every time I saw him, even in America, when he was here a long time ago, when I was still living in a Chinese temple. So, I went and saw him with some other people. Some friends had a car and took me around. We used to go around in those days. Because nothing else to do, no karma to take care of, only cars to take care of.
And so, whenever he saw me, he always took notice and shook hands for a long time. And a lot of... there was about a thousand people waiting behind me to shake his hand. And he shook my hands a long time, and he talked a long time, and he asked so many long questions. And I was so embarrassed. I looked behind, and I... “I have to go. I have to go.”
It seems like all the Masters like to take care of me. Because I’m small, maybe they feel like protecting me. They’re very protective. Even Chinese Masters also, until I became famous, then nobody likes me anymore. Many of the Masters used to like me before and love me and protect me whenever I was around. And it seems like they just drop me and don’t like me anymore. I don’t know what I have done. (Too famous.) Yeah, after I became famous, it seems like I have no more friends. (Yes.) The friends I used to have, all gone.
(Do You mind if we take a picture?) What for? You don’t have enough pictures of me or something? (These ones I have to wait, it’s very hard to know what’s in there. Do You mind?) If you want to, but one only. (OK.) I’m very shy. (OK.) One only? (Yes.) Oh, let me pose a little. Be feminine, you know. No flash, is it OK? (Let me try. Do you mind a second one? I’m exhausted sometimes taking care of you. But you have no excuse. You just bring your ephemeral clothes here, and then you eat and you play, then you cannot do this. Please have some lunch. If it’s not enough, you can take that. (OK.) Because it’s a little bit cold now. This is hot. You take it.
