Our country, Âu Lạc (Vietnam), wasn’t poor. Those small little gods, if you worship demons, the demons will ruin you, understand? Demons have power too, but it’s small power, local power, regional power. Just a bit, and then it’s gone. But if you worship the Supreme God, the Almighty, then the power is immense, limitless and boundless. That’s why it’s so hard to explain things to people on Earth. It’s hard, huh? (Yes.) They just don’t understand. Just a small misunderstanding in their thinking causes this much suffering. And it drags the whole country with it, a whole nation into misery, not just the rulers.
In any country where disasters happen, natural disasters, economic collapse, and the people suffer, it’s all because of the ruling authorities. The leaders are the ones who make the people suffer. There’s no Heaven or Earth punishing people that harshly. Because the rulers are supposed to “carry out Heaven’s Will on Earth,” to take care of the people. But if they make mistakes, they drag everyone down with them. In the Bible, it talks about King David, remember? David. He made a mistake, and God punished not just him, but all ten tribes of Israel. Remember? He had to choose the punishment himself. The whole nation was punished. So sometimes, when a country experiences disasters or long droughts, it’s because the rulers are not wise. They’re not following a clear, enlightened system. They’re not walking in the light of Heaven and the Buddhas. They’re following the dark light of demons and lower beings. For example, in society, sometimes you watch movies and see it, right? Is there tea coming a bit later?
Is there any tea? (Yes. Fresh one.) (Yes, it will be brought up shortly.) Ah, tea later then. Have the Singaporeans left? Have the Singapore people left already? OK, OK. They had to leave at one o’clock. You all leave at four, right? (Yes.) Still some time left.
When you watch movies or stories, sometimes you see real-life reflections of society in them. For instance, there are often two sides fighting – one is the righteous side, the other the evil. And there are always people who work with the evil side, right? Like the other day… ah, you weren’t home. I showed a film where the people working for the evil side also got paid, had their positions, flattered their boss and were treated well. But in the end, when everything fell apart, the boss killed them all to silence them and protect himself. Because those underlings knew all of his plans, understand? Once things fell apart, he had to kill them. That’s what happens when you work for evil.
It’s the same in any country or regime. If you work for demons or dark forces, sooner or later they’ll harm you. But if you work for Heaven or the Buddhas, you’ll always be protected. That’s how it is. We can learn high spiritual principles from the things we observe in everyday life – we don’t always need to discuss mystical, hard-to-prove topics. Understand? If you work for the evil side, for unrighteous causes, when things go wrong, they’ll kill you to cover their tracks. Because they have no morality, no emotion, no loyalty – only money or power matters to them. But people who have morality, who work together out of love and righteousness, they respect each other. They care about each other. Sometimes they’re willing to sacrifice money, but they won’t sacrifice their friends.
The evil side, on the other hand, sacrifices their so-called friends – they were never real friends to begin with. They only come together to make their plan work. But once the plan fails, out of fear, they’ll kill the others to keep things quiet and protect themselves. So whether you’re working for the righteous or the wicked side, you still have to give your effort. But when you work for the righteous, there is protection, lasting support, and real bonds. You’re not afraid of betrayal. When you work for the evil side, once your interests clash, they’ll kill you.
They say when there’s too much inner heat, they give lemon juice to balance it out... But this is karmic retribution, right? No amount of medicine or drink will help. Well, never mind, just drink it for fun. Sometimes I get strange kinds of illnesses. Out of nowhere – my face is looking perfectly fine, smooth skin, and suddenly pimples start appearing. Don’t even know where they come from! Nothing changed, they just pop up when they want, and then later they disappear. It’s not like I eat anything too “heaty” to cause pimples, not at all. I eat very little, one meal a day or one and a half to two meals at most. I don’t eat junk, (vegan) chocolate and stuff. (Vegan) chocolate, chocolate. I don’t snack on random things. Very rarely, only sometimes to entertain guests or have a small bite. Never eat those little snacky things. If I eat one meal, then that’s it, one or two meals, no nibbling in between. And I don’t drink anything odd either.
(Penicillin helps a lot, Master.) Penicillin? No, no, no. Let it be, it’ll go away on its own. That stuff is too strong. Penicillin is an antibiotic, right? (Yes, one packet.) (Antibiotics.) One packet? (One packet over four days.) Four days? It’ll go away naturally in four days anyway, no need to take it! If it takes four days, then I’m not even interested in taking medicine. If it worked in four hours, I might sacrifice a little and take it. But four days… It’ll fade on its own, right? (Yes.) Unless you drink four liters a day, like Hồng. Still drinking that much? (Yes.) (Now we can go home and say what’s special about Taiwan [Formosa].) What’s special about Taiwan (Formosa)? The mosquitoes are big. Their proboscis is like a syringe! Scary, huh? (Yes, very scary.) Feels real, right? Like getting bitten? (Yes, it does.) Itches too. I usually don’t get bitten by mosquitoes. And not to this extent. Why didn’t Hồng get bitten? Did you apply something? (Got bitten on the arm, Master.) Oh, they avoided the face? That’s still kind of thoughtful! They knew you took care of your face so they didn’t dare bite it?
