“Sheep recognize each other by facial features. And, when shown photographs, they can remember at least 50 other sheep and ten human beings, even if they haven’t seen them for two years.” “Just like our emotions are reflected on our face, sheep display their emotions with the positions of their ears.” Today, there are an estimated 10,000 different breeds of sheep-citizens worldwide. Traditionally, female sheep-citizens, or ewes, will stay with the same flock their entire lives. One study proved that sheep-persons even know how to self-medicate by eating specific plants to help cure their illnesses.

“Far from just simple grazers, sheep are eco-warriors, maintaining the balance of eco-systems through their grazing, which helps prevent overgrowth and reduces wildfire risks.” In Nashville, Tennessee, in the United States, sheep-people, humans, and dog-citizens are teaming up to restore overgrown urban lands in an environmentally-friendly way. Let’s meet “The Nashville Chew Crew.” “Certainly, the environmental side of things is a huge plus. They’re quiet. There’s no emissions, there’s no chemicals.”

Let’s meet vegan activist Hannah, and her sweet rescued Herdwick sheep-friends, Rabbit, Bandi, and Tic. “It’s just really lovely to see them all, and I always feel like they know that I’ve been away for a long time. They do something called chewing the cud. They sit there and chew the grass that’s in their mouth, and sheep only tend to do that when they’re happy and relaxed.” As more people are going vegan and advocating for animal-person rights, we are seeing tremendous strides in saving countless sheep-people from the murderous wool and animal-person meat industries!
